well, we finally figured out the internet in this place so i can finish our journey and talk about the last week. our last full day in the truck was uneventful except that elliott cut his first tooth! it’s just a teeny little white nub, as soon as it’s more obvious i’ll take a picture. it’s nice to finally see some fruit of the crankiness we’ve dealt with for the past 2 months although i realize it’s just the beginning.
tuesday afternoon we rolled into stafford county (stafford is just across the river from fredericksburg and is the furthest southern part of the d.c. metro area) and spent 4 hours unloading our moving truck into a storage unit. it was a pain, elliott was sad and cranky, we both were tired, but we survived and everything fit into one unit (hallelujah). we then made our way north to bethesda where we’ll be living for the next month in the scouting office. it’s not the most elegant apartment – it feels alot like a hotel room – but it’s more than adequate. maryland is pretty much the worst, everyone here is pretty unfriendly. even the church members are kind of snobby. we really miss virginia. every time we go down to stafford everyone is so friendly and nice, it makes us really anxious to find a place to live asap.
today was the inauguration and it’s been a madhouse around here. we didn’t go down for the actual inauguration, but we did go down yesterday and i have alot to say about that experience, but that’ll have to wait for another day. in the meantime i know you all don’t come here to hear me blabber, so let me give you what you want:

sweet little boy.
