Justin here, as Sarah is slightly incapacitated right now.
We went to Sarah’s regularly scheduled appointment with her midwife at 4:30 this afternoon, where we found that her water had been broken for some time, and that she had dilated to a six. We were immediately sent over to the hospital!
We found out that she has meconium (sp?), which means the baby has basically been swimming in his own poo, but there are no problems with that. The back labor proved to be too much, so she opted to get the epidural, which has made things much more calm here. We expect Elliott to be here tonight, and we appreciate all of your thoughts and prayers sent our way.
